AKSHNAM — Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations Policy
Thank you for shopping with AKSHNAM. We take great care in handcrafting and selecting every product we sell. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return, exchange, or cancellation request.
1. Returns
1.1 Return Window You have 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return request. Requests raised after this period will not be accepted.
1.2 Eligibility To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
(a) The item must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition as received. (b) The item must be in its original packaging with all tags, labels, and accessories intact. (c) You must have the original invoice, order confirmation email, or delivery receipt as proof of purchase.
1.3 Items Not Eligible for Return The following items cannot be returned:
(a) Items that have been used, altered, washed, or damaged by the customer (b) Items with removed or tampered tags and labels (c) Items returned without original packaging (d) Items marked as non-returnable or final sale at the time of purchase
AKSHNAM reserves the right to refuse a return if the item does not meet the above conditions upon inspection.
1.4 How to Initiate a Return To initiate a return, please fill out our Return Request Form within 7 (seven) calendar days of delivery. Please keep your order number and the item(s) you wish to return ready before filling the form.
Our team will review your request and respond within 48 hours with further instructions.
1.5 Return Shipping Once your return request is approved, we will schedule a reverse pickup from your delivery address. You do not need to arrange courier yourself. Please ensure that:
(a) The item is securely packed to prevent damage during transit. (b) Your AKSHNAM order number and name are clearly mentioned on the package. (c) You are available at the pickup address at the time communicated to you.
A flat return processing fee of Rs. 290 will be deducted from the refund amount to cover reverse shipping and processing costs.
2. Refunds
2.1 Inspection and Approval Once your returned item is received at our facility, we will inspect it to verify that it meets the return eligibility conditions. This inspection process may take up to 7 (seven) working days from the date we receive the returned item. You will be notified by email of the status of your refund after inspection.
2.2 Refund Processing If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. The refund amount will be the invoice value of the returned item(s), less the return processing fee of Rs. 290.
The refund will be credited to your account within 10 to 15 business days from the date of approval, depending on your bank or payment provider's processing timelines. AKSHNAM is not responsible for any delays caused by your bank or payment provider.
2.3 Treatment of Discounts If any discount was availed through a coupon code or promotional offer at the time of placing the order, the full discount amount will be deducted from the refund. This deduction is applied in full and is not proportional to the quantity or value of the returned item(s).
2.4 Non-receipt of Refund If you have not received your refund within 15 business days of the approval notification, please first check with your bank or payment provider. If the issue persists, contact us at returns.akshnam@gmail.com with your order number and refund reference, and we will assist you in resolving the matter.
3. Exchanges
3.1 Exchange Eligibility We offer exchanges only in the following cases:
(a) The item received has a manufacturing defect. (b) The item was damaged during transit at the time of delivery.
3.2 How to Request an Exchange To request an exchange, please fill out our Return Request Form within 7 (seven) calendar days of delivery. [Hyperlink to be added.] Please keep your order number and clear photographs showing the defect or damage ready before filling the form.
Our team will review your request and, if approved, arrange for the exchange of the item. In the case of a valid manufacturing defect or transit damage, return shipping costs for the exchange will be borne by AKSHNAM.
3.3 Exchange Availability Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the same item is not available, we will offer you the option of a refund to your original method of payment.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Cancellation Window You may cancel your order within 2 (two) hours of placing it by emailing us at returns.akshnam@gmail.com with your order number and reason for cancellation. If your cancellation request is received within this window and the order has not yet been shipped, no cancellation fee will be charged and a full refund will be issued to your original method of payment.
4.2 Cancellation After the 2-Hour Window Cancellation requests raised after 2 hours of placing the order will not be entertained as a standard request. In exceptional cases such as an accidental duplicate order or an incorrect address entered at checkout, you may write to us at returns.akshnam@gmail.com. We will check the status of your order on our end and respond within a reasonable time. Cancellations under this route are not guaranteed and are entirely at AKSHNAM's discretion.
4.3 Cancellation After Shipment If an order has already been shipped at the time of your cancellation request, we will not be able to recall or intercept it. The order will be delivered to you as scheduled. If you still do not wish to keep the item, you may initiate a return through the standard process outlined in Section 1 once the item is delivered. A flat fee of Rs. 290 will be deducted from the refund amount to cover shipping and processing costs.
4.4 Repeat Cancellations To prevent misuse of the cancellation policy, if you cancel prepaid orders on more than two consecutive occasions, AKSHNAM reserves the right to issue future refunds in the form of store credit instead of refunding to the original payment method.
5. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is damaged during transit or is different from what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at returns.akshnam@gmail.com with:
(a) Your order number (b) Photographs of the item received, showing the damage or discrepancy (c) A photograph of the shipping label on the package
We will arrange for a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you, after verification.
6. Important Notes
(a) As our products are handcrafted, minor variations in colour, texture, and embroidery pattern are inherent to the art form and are not considered defects eligible for return or exchange. (b) Colour differences arising from screen display settings on your device are not grounds for return. (c) AKSHNAM reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on the website and will apply to orders placed after the date of the update.
