The body runs a tightly repeating ogee medallion lattice — each cell containing peacocks, perched birds, flowering trees, and miniature architectural forms in amber, olive, plum, lavender, and slate. Examined closely, no two medallions are precisely the same.
The border is where the shawl becomes something else entirely. A Mughal court pictorial frieze runs the full width, courtiers, attendants, arched pavilions with domed rooftops, rendered with the narrative precision of miniature painting. Below it, a procession of elephants and mythical animals moves in stately order. The pallu closes with ornate arched niches and a coral fringe finish.
Not a single needle has touched this fabric. Every figure, every arch, every elephant built into the weave thread by thread. Pictorial narrative Kani of this complexity is among the rarest expressions of the craft still produced in Kashmir today.

Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love what you receive. If you are not fully satisfied, we accept return requests within 7 days of delivery. To be eligible, the item must be unused, unwashed, and in its original condition with all tags and packaging intact. Click here to initiate a Return request.
A flat return processing fee of Rs. 290 will be deducted from the refund amount to cover reverse shipping and handling. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 10 to 15 business days of return approval.
Exchanges are offered only in cases of manufacturing defects or transit damage. In such cases, return shipping is borne by AKSHNAM.
